Anti-Oppressive Social Work Ethics
This three-hour interactive training draws from Anti-Oppressive Social Work Ethics. Together, we unpack an anti-oppressive practice (AOP) toolbox to help social workers fight oppression in their micro, mezzo, or macro practice. The first hour focuses on unpacking the AOP tools. Participants draw on their lived experiences to center and critically reflect on their AOP practice. In the second hour, we identify institutional barriers and strategies to dismantle them. The final hour enlists a collective call to action to implement your AOP toolbox in your practice setting. Participants unite and collectively respond to the moral imperative to fight obsession.
Full attendance provides 3 Maryland Category 1 CEU's, in Anti-Oppressive Social Work Practice.
