Paint Your Own Alebrije

Alebrijes are creatures carved from the wood of copal trees in the region of Oaxaca, Mexico, and are painted with patterns and fantastic designs from the artist's own imagination.(opens in a new tab)

Attendees will get to select and paint one miniature alebrije. There is no guarantee that a particular carving of an animal will be available, and selection is based on order of arrival to the class.

• Where is the workshop?

The workshop will be held at the Museum of Eastern Shore Culture, located at 218 W Main Street in downtown Salisbury.

• Do I need to bring anything?

All supplies are included in the ticket price.

• Where can I park and is it free?
